The Festus R-VI Board of Education approved the calendar for the 2025-26 school year at its meeting on Thursday, February 20.  Highlights of the calendar include:

• 1st day of school is Monday, August 18, 2025
• Last scheduled day of school is Monday, May 18,, 2026
• No school on Sept. 1 (Labor Day), Sept. 22 (professional development day), Oct. 20 (professional development day), Oct. 31, Nov. 26-28 (Thanksgiving), Dec. 22 - Jan. 2 (Winter Break)
• Return to school on Jan. 5, 2026
• No school on Jan. 19 (MLK Day), Feb. 13 (professional development day), Feb. 16 (President's Day), Mar. 12-16 (Spring Break), Apr. 3-6
